Hailing from Caracas, Venezuela, Giovanna earned her Master's degree in Strategic Planning at the CIDEU (Spain), and her degree in Urban Design from Central University of Venezuela.
Believing that architecture can be used as a social and cultural tool, Giovanna has previous experience in Public Sector Management as a Coordinator of Special Projects and Public Spaces in two municipalities in Caracas, Venezuela where she gave managerial advice to political leaders and communities. She also has experience as a design professor at Simón Bolívar University.
In 2013 she was selected by the World Economic Forum as a member of the Global Shapers Community where she contributed to building a culture of citizenship and a system of safe public spaces to reduce violence and instill faith in the future. She has been invited to Mexico, Geneva, Peru, Venezuela and Miami to build awareness on city issues.
Passionate about design, Giovanna dedicates her free time to researching and writing about city dynamics for the Constructor Report and Favelissues. Recently joining the McKenzie Craft team, she looks forward to learning the ins and outs of project management.
