A fifth-generation Miami native, Gavin is the founder of McKenzie. Since establishing the company in 2005, Gavin has successfully overseen its three divisions, driving the business to new heights through almost two decades. He is a distinguished three time recipient of the Gator 100 award from the University of Florida and has been recognized among South Florida Business Journal’s 40 Under 40. A licensed general contractor in Florida and LEED-certified, Gavin exemplifies a commitment to sustainable building practices.
In addition to his professional achievements, Gavin has served as Chairman and continues to sit on the boards of several prominent organizations, including The Alliance for Florida's National Parks, The Dade Heritage Trust, and Artists in Residence in Everglades. An avid outdoorsman and passionate conservationist, Gavin believes that environmental stewardship is a fundamental human responsibility. Through photography, activism, and retreats on his North Carolina property, he aims to inspire others to embrace and protect the natural world.
As Chief Executive Officer of McKenzie Companies, Vincent Federici brings nearly two decades of experience in the design, millwork, and construction industries. A third-generation millwork professional, he has a deep-rooted understanding of the trade, combining tradition with modern techniques to deliver high-quality results.
Since joining McKenzie, Vincent has played a key role in the company’s growth and reputation for excellence. His leadership has helped position McKenzie as a premier provider of custom millwork and construction services in the region. As CEO, he now oversees the company’s operations, ensuring a seamless integration of craftsmanship and construction expertise.
A member of the Architectural Woodwork Institute (AWI), the International Surface Fabricators Association (ISFA), and the National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA), Vincent remains committed to upholding industry standards while pushing the boundaries of innovation. His leadership style emphasizes operational efficiency, strategic growth, and maintaining the highest levels of client satisfaction.
Vincent’s focus on collaboration and detail-driven execution reflects McKenzie’s core values of excellence, craftsmanship, and integrity. As CEO, he is dedicated to advancing the company’s mission while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and team development.
With 23 years of expertise leading construction teams through a wide range of hospitality, adaptive reuse, and ultra-luxury residential projects, Bruce is the VP of Construction at McKenzie. Joining McKenzie in 2024, Bruce oversees our construction department from preconstruction through turnover. Bruce is also a second-generation millworker professional.
Before his time at McKenzie, Bruce facilitated the completion of a variety of both commercial and residential projects, such as a $50M renovation of Waldorf-Astoria NYC, a complete historic renovation of Intercontinental Barclay, NYC, and an adaptive-reuse renovation of The Hoxton Hotel in LA.
Joining McKenzie in 2022, John brings nearly a decade of experience managing high-performance project teams across a range of complex and unique projects. He emphasizes streamlined processes that enhance McKenzie’s efficiency and ensure clear communication of project status from bidding through closeout.
Bentley has been with McKenzie since 2012. She oversees accounting operations for all three divisions including managing all aspects of the accounting process, payroll, inventory, and compliance.
She is responsible for guiding financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures while playing a lead role in preparing and publishing monthly financial statements.
Bentley completed her undergraduate studies at Clemson University before moving on to Michigan State University to complete a study program in International Packaging Engineering. She is OSHA certified and licensed as a financial advisor and investment advisor.
Her pride and joy are her two amazing children. Outside of the office you can find Bentley on the soccer field watching her daughter play or on the water watching her son windsurf. During her downtime she enjoys lounging by the pool with her husband either reading a book, knitting, or playing Rumikub.
Kathryn joined McKenzie in 2021 as the Executive Assistant to the Founder. She provides executive support in a one-on-one working relationship. Kathryn also serves as a liaison to senior management; organizes and coordinates executive outreach and external relations efforts; and oversees special projects. This includes monitoring sales leads, developing marketing literature and collateral, managing the website and social media, and overseeing company wide communications.
